Guarded by four aspects of Cuozicaltli, the Throne of Gold, at the center of the lowest level of the underworld, was the seat from which Itzicaltli was thought to rule Mitzican. Free shipping for many products! Also known as Tut’s Golden Throne, the name may be a light misnomer, since it’s likely that it was an auxiliary royal seat for the boy king. Also, the King Tut Throne is actually made primarily of wood, not gold, though it is beautifully overlaid in sheet gold and silver, further adorned with semi-precious stones, glaze, and colored glass. The Throne of Gold slot is a medieval number with a pair of characters that make the highest value icons. First up, there’s a knight of old covered head to toe in armour.

Throne of Gold

When I first saw this slot’s title, I though it must be something to do with those posh dunnies you sometimes see in 5 star hotel bathrooms. But no, I was mistaken.

You don’t need to be a medieval expert or just to have had a touch too much Aussie sun to have seen your share of dragons. Genii’s Throne of Gold slot will catch the attention of those of you who had their boat floated by fantasy series like the Game of Thrones. But, I must warn you, don’t expect any nudity or heaving bosoms! This is a clean slot. Mrs Wombat would approve! This game is a traditional 5 reel game compared to, say, Finn’s Golden Tavern slot with all its swirly business going on. Sometimes it’s good to get back to basics don’t you think?

You’ll feel the full force of a legendary grudge match between two traditional enemies, namely the Stags and the Ravens. These two houses will slug it out for the throne and control of the game-changing dragon. Meanwhile, you get to make up some combinations and try and win some treasure. All good, in other words!

Look and Feel

A dreamy castle with towers makes up the scene on the reels. You’ll come across some fancy looking graphics with plenty of detail: we’d go so far as to say that it is up there with the likes of the Tahiti Gold slot from Elk Studios on the looks front.

Throne

And, there’s a touch of menace around the reels with a gold frame complete with ragged dragon wings and claws. Now that’s one way to focus you on the reels!

And steel yourself for some dramatic music: you’ll be picking sides in no time in this game that sets the supporters of 2 ancient enemies against each other. Make no mistake: this game wants you sitting on the edge of your seat, preferable clad head-to-toe in armour.

Game Play

Bring out you best knight face over 5 reels, 3 rows and 20 pay-lines. That’ll be 5 more than the Pirate from the East slot from NetEnt then.

The Throne of Gold slot is a medieval number with a pair of characters that make the highest value icons. First up, there’s a knight of old covered head to toe in armour. Not only is this bloke a valuable icon to land – 5 of these will give you 200 coins, but this shiny fella lands on all of the reels and when he crops up on reels 4 and 5, he brings even more fanfare. And this knight arrives double the regular size! Bruce, I think he’s called.

This hero’s opposite number is a high priestess standing in a forest with a spooky crow. This Sheila makes an appearance on all the reels, but she transforms into a double-sized icon on the first 2.

The mid-value icons are a fairy tale castle, a gold crown, a flaming dragon egg and a stag and eagle emblem, while the lower value icons are a dragon scaled Ace through Jack of the card deck.

Flipping heck, mate! I almost forgot to tell you about the game’s Wild, a big scaly dragon icon with glowing eyes. He’s a fiery fella, that’s for sure.

Throne Of Gold

This Wild mischief-maker also lands double-sized to generate more winning chances. And, when you get the Wild into your winning combo, you’ll get a triple multiplier. The Wild subs for all icons, except the Scatter.

The Scatter is the title’s throne decorated with a pair of dragon wings.

The Bonuses

Gold

If you get lucky and land 3 or more Scatter thrones on the reels, you will launch the free spins game. If you’ve got 3, 4 or 5 Scatters you will get 7, 14 or a whacking great 20 free games. Knock out!

And while you’re in free spins mode, any wins you make are doubled in value. So crack on and try and crank up some wins. And, if that bunch of beauties isn’t enough for you, if you land further Scatters you will re-trigger the feature.

Wombat Summary

Hold onto your helmet and grab your best sword for Genii’s Throne of Gold slot. This game has all the high-jinx and drama of a fairy tale of old. If you get lucky with 20 free games you will trigger the double multiplier and you can re-trigger the action with more Throne Scatters. I love super-sized money-making icons and this game is covered in the blighters.
